1. a few 和 few 有什麼分別?
同樣跟countable nouns 但few 有負面意思
e.g. I have few friends. (我幾乎沒有朋友, 負面意思)
I have a few friends. (我有一些朋友)
2. a little和 little 有什麼分別?
a little 和 little 只用於uncountable nouns
little (少到幾乎沒有, 負面的意思)
e.g. I have little money. (我幾乎沒有錢, 少到幾乎沒有)
I have a little money. (我有一些錢, 正面的意思)
3. fewer 和 less 的分別:
fewer 跟 countable nouns
less 跟 uncountable nouns 兩者也用於比較
e.g. I have fewer books than she does. 我比她少書
Please eat less junk food. (請您少吃零食) (junk food 是uncountable noun)
I eat less fatty food today. 我今天少吃肥膩食物。 (fatty food 是uncountable noun)
They ate fewer candies yesterday. 他們昨天少吃糖。(candy 是countable noun)
